Q: How long will it take to complete this degree?
A: Students enrolled full time can complete the degree in a calendar year. Classes are offered in Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer sessions and all classes are online. If you attend part time, you may be in school for two to three years.
Q: Can I enter this program if I do not have a degree in teaching?
A: No, you cannot. Students must have initial teaching certification in the state of NY to apply to the M.S.T. in Health Education program.
Q: If I’m already certified to teach, do I have to student-teach again?
A: A second student teaching experience is not required. You will need to do some fieldwork in schools.
