Eligibility
To be eligible for Commencement tickets students must complete their degree requirements in December 2025, May 2026 or August 2026, or are expected to complete student teaching, internship, fieldwork, study abroad or another academic requirement that is not completed on or near the Cortland campus in December 2026.
Tickets
The ticket reservation process will be accessible online through myRedDragon and within the Commencement Tab, beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 16, through 11:55 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026.
Each student will reserve a graduate stage pass, which is the student ticket to participate in the ceremony, and a maximum of four (4) guest e-tickets.
Guest Tickets
A maximum of four (4) guest e-tickets will be allocated to each student. Unfortunately, due to capacity limits set by the Fire Code of New York State, SUNY Cortland can not provide extra tickets for guests.
The guest ticket reservation process will be accessible online through myRedDragon and within the Commencement Tab, beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 16, through 11:55 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026.
Once tickets are reserved, students will have the option to both print, and/or email their guest ticket(s) at any time, including the day of Commencement. Tickets can now be added to Apple and Google wallet.
Guests without a ticket may view the ceremony from one of our overflow locations throughout Park Center.
